No limits at Enduro-X event

Some of the top South African riders took part at this past weekend's off-road Enduro X racing event in Holfontein.

Another spectacular and adrenalin-pumping off-road Enduro X racing event was held on Saturday, 8 July.

“The cold weather did not dampen the spirits of the riders and spectators. There were enough adrenaline and action to heat them up,” said Chris Schoeman, organiser of the event.

The Enduro-X event is based on the Holfontein Red Loop, which is said to be a well-balanced 2,8 kilometre track. Holfontein is situated approximately 33km outside Randfontein on the N14 towards Ventersdorp.

The loop incorporates various elements of off-road racing into a super cross-style setting including rocks, logs, sand, mud, tyres and a dry river bed.

Some of the top South African riders took part and gave an excellent display of their talent. Motorcycle dealer Cayenne was on site with the new range of Beta motorbikes on display.

Their demo Beta bikes were a great favourite as riders were given a chance to experience the Italian bikes first-hand. Dean from Sunoco had spares and other paraphernalia available, including clothing and motorcycle toys for the kids.

In the novice class it was a closely contested event with Adrien Naude, 16, pulling out all the stops to prove to everybody that age is no factor in racing. He was very consistent through all the heats.
