Scott Spedding, born in Krugersdorp on the West Rand and a member of the French national team will face the Springboks this June.
According to ESPN.co.uk, Scott was born on 4 May, 1986 in Krugersdorp and has represented major teams in the rugby world, including Bayonne, Brive, Clermont Auvergne, French Barbarians and Sharks.
He made his debut for the French national side in 2014 against Fiji and has regularly been seen in the Six Nations competition since – a massive honour for any rugby union player in Europe.
France will play three test matches against the Springboks, starting next week.
The fixtures are:
• Springboks vs France on 10 June @ Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria
• Springboks vs France on 17 June @ Growthpoint Kings Park Stadium in Durban
• Springboks vs France on 24 June @ Emirates Airline Park in Johannesburg
