Are you ready to rumble?

Join the prestigious Randgate Boxing Club for an amateur boxing tournament.

The Randgate Boxing Club and home of West Rand boxing will be hosting one of their biggest amateur development tournaments at the beginning of April.

Not so long ago the Randgate Boxing Club has become the base for the West Rand Boxing Academy, and all the boxers they have been training over the last few months will have the opportunity to show their stuff.

The tournament will take place on Saturday, 1 April during which the club will be hosting clubs from the West Rand and beyond. These clubs include the Witpoortjie, Booysens, Soweto, Kagiso and Pretoria Boxing Clubs, to name a few.

Because the club is expecting such a large number of participants, the organisers are currently in talks with the Rand West City Local Municipality (RWCLM) as well as the West Rand District Municipality (WRDM) to be allowed the use of the Greenhills Stadium Show Hall.

Proceeds of the tournament will be used to develop boxing on the West Rand, as well as to help Amorie Gonsalves from the club who will be the first-ever female boxer from South Africa to participate in the 2017 Bahamas Commonwealth Games.

The club invites boxing enthusiasts and potential boxers to join them on 1 April to enjoy a day of boxing and to see how the boxers have progressed.
