They say new brooms sweep clean and the Randfontein Bowling Club have elected their new brooms for the 2016/2017 financial year.
The club selected their new committee on Saturday, 25 June who will serve to keep the club running at its usual high standard.
The club has had a wave of success recently and have been complimented by the Sables Bowling Organisation which they fall under for being excellent hosts during past bowling events. In addition, the club is host to the prestigious 2016 Gauteng Bowls Open which takes place in the first and second weeks of July.
Although the new committee has been selected, old faces will sadly disappear including long-time president Martiens Botha who will still be part of the club but will no longer serve as president.
The new committee will serve from June this year to June the following year.
2016/2017 committee members:
• President: Vera Pretorius
• Vice-president: Tommy Parrot
• Secretary: Trudy Kriel
• Treasurer: Rina Kluts
