RHS hosts annual golf day

The golfers travelled the world in 18 holes with each hole being representative of a country.

Randfontein High School (RHS) on Friday, 6 May hosted its annual golf day at the Goldfields West Golf Club in Carletonville.

In addition to being able to play golf in an idyllic setting and becoming one with nature – birds chirping in the trees, buck roaming freely on the fairways and monkeys cavorting all over the place – the golfers travelled the world in 18 holes with each hole being representative of a country.

The golfers were able to experience the traditions of the British Isles and the joys of Europe with some players being hoodwinked by the Irish Leprechauns and warmed up by the hospitality of the Russians. The festivity of the South American countries had the golfers doing the Salsa while the Ubuntu of South Africa made everybody feel right at home.

“What better way to spend a Friday,” said Alexandra West, RHS head of the commerce department.

“RHS would like to take this opportunity to thank all our sponsors as well as all the players for making this day a huge success. Your dedication to our school is much appreciated and would not have been possible without your generous contributions and attendance.”

Don’t miss out on their next golfing extravaganza. Simply contact the school on 011 693 5220 and place your name on their email list.

Alexandra added, “Adieu, auf wierdersehen, ciao, totsiens and goodbye until next year.”
