Randfontein cyclist triumphs against 700 for top spot.

The Mile High and Shidokan xXx Gym has produced top cyclists such as Lanett Burger, Jay Thomsen, and Howard Thompson.

The latest to star is Sergio Augustine who is both a kick boxer and a cyclist. Augustine does spinning classes with owner of Mile High and Shidokan xXx Gym – a former world champion kickboxer, former SA world contender, and first fighter to fight MMA in Chicago USA in 1998 and 1999.

On the weekend of the 30th of January, Sergio Augustine took part in the Berge and Dale 55km race for the second time. He took first place with a time of 1h 41mins beating over 700 cyclist for the number one spot.
Next year, Augustine will cycle from Randfontein to Cape Town for the third time and will thereafter participate in the Cape August Cycle Race. Pelser, who does spinning classes with Augustine has been taking on this gruelling challenge for the 13th time.
The distance that needs to be road from Randfontein to Cape Town per day is approximately 270km.
