Still running strong

R’tein woman conquers running event in Bedfordview.

Randmark athletics club member, Estelle Oosthuizen took second place out of 6 000 participants at the 21,1km Dis-Chem race of her age group in Bedfordview recently.

This dedicated athlete is a proud member of Randmark for seven years and also serves on the committee. She gets up at 3:45am to start her day with training.

She follows a healthy lifestyle and diet to get her geared up for successful races. Running is her true passion and owns enough perseverance to combat against failure.

Estelle describes the race as tough but very fun, whereby she needed to persevere extremely because of the many uphills. Her motivational words to other other upcoming athletes is to push through, to make running a passion and to persevere until success is reached.

Running, or any other sport is a discipline, a discipline that makes you emotionally, physically and spiritually strong for life.
