Wheelchair Tennis great passes on

Wheelchair Tennis SA says goodbye to Frank Ramokoatsi.

Wheelchair Tennis SA announced with great sadness the passing of one of the first players to take up wheelchair tennis in South Africa, Frank Ramokoatsi.

They released a statement saying, “We have been forced to say a premature good bye to one of our friends, players and coaches – Frank Ramokoatsi. After a short illness, Frank left this world in the late hours of 18 November.

“Frank achieved a career high ranking of 66 on the ITF world singles ranking and was one of the first players Wheelchair Tennis South Africa trained as a coach.  Frank will be sorely missed by his family, friends, WTSA and young individuals he coached weekly.

“He was a man of great wisdom and compassion for fellow mankind. His quiet demeanor, unassuming ways, and willingness to help will be sorely missed.

“To the Ramokoatsi family, the WTSA family, acquaintances, students and close friends there are no words to describe the gaping wound his death has left. May he Rest in Peace and remain in our memories forever.”
