Randfontein Golf Club wins handicap trophy
Randfontein Golf Club made history when they won the Better Ball Handicap League for the first time in the club's history.
A team from Randfontein Golf Club recently made history. They participated in the Better Ball Handicap League and won their division for the first time in the club’s history.
According to the captain of the Randfontein Golf Club team, Eric Kidson, the league started in January.
Kidson explains that the league is divided into four divisions and Randfontein Golf Club competed in division D.
“We had to rub shoulders with the likes of Ruimsig Golf Club, Leeuwkop and Country Club Johannesburg, to name but a few,” says Kidson.
However, after eight match-ups the team from Randfontein was top of the log in their division and was crowned victorious in the Division D Better Ball League.
It is also the first time in Randfontein’s history that they win this prestigious trophy.
This also gave them the opportunity to get promoted to the C Division of the competition in which they will compete during the next league.
As captain of this dynamic team, Kidson thanks his 21 team members for their dedication and hard work during the Better Ball Handicap League.
