All systems go for spring touch rugby season

New season starts 17 September.

The West Rand Touch Rugby League is set to start on Wednesday 17 September and will continue for the following ten weeks.

According to Kobus Kruger, the organiser of this league, individual players, school coaches, corporate companies and women’s teams on the West Rand are encouraged to enter their teams into the West Rand Touch Rugby League.

He says there is limited space and he therefore urges players to enter as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

“The West Rand Touch Rugby League is played every Wednesday evening from 7pm at the Sterkfontein Heritage Lodge in Rant-en-Dal, Krugersdorp,” says Kruger.

Whether you are young or old, the touch rugby league caters for all interested in cardiovascular, non-contact fun.

The standard of play ranges from a social level to very competitive and therefore everyone can join in the fun.

Kruger expects at least 24 sides to join when the league formally kicks off.
