The Tiger scheduled for title fight

"We are preparing as if we are facing Mike Tyson."

It has been confirmed that Randfontein’s iron fist, Nathi The Tiger Ximba will be fighting for the WKF South African Featherweight K-1 Title at the end of August.

“We have joined forces with Fitstop Gyms and all Ximba’s training will take place at their local gym in Greenhills,” says Ximba’s coach, Mark Hey from Hey Sports International.

“The Tiger will enter the ring on 30 August at the Air Force Gym in Centurion, Pretoria. Although it is not confirmed yet who Ximba’s opponent will be, we are preparing as if we are facing Mike Tyson. By doing this we ensure that we are ready for anything that is thrown at us during this fight,” says Hey.

He adds that the World Kickboxing Federation (WKF) already has scheduled the fight for five three-minute rounds. If the fighters fail to win by knock out, the winner will be chosen according to the judges’ scorecards.

Ximba, who currently is the title holder of the WKF World Muay-Thai title, the WKF African Continental Kickboxing Title and the Sapmac South African Kickboxing title, explains he will be fighting in the 58,2 kilogram weight division.

“I am ready for this fight and although I am not sure who I will face, I will be ready to take the belt,” says Ximba.

Ximba thanks his coach for all the time spent training as well as Fitstop Gyms for their help during his preparation.
