Streak the new MFC Heavy Weight champ

Robbie Streak claims title following win over Mbuli Jakarta.

Fighters from Mile High Kickboxing and Shidokan showed their skill during the MFC Championships held at Sibiya Casino in Durban in June.

Owner and head coach of Mile High Kickboxing and Shidokan Randfontein, Henk Pelser explains that three of his fighters competed in the MFC.

“First to enter the octagon was Porra du Plessis. He had a great fight and won the bout by means of an arm bar. With this manoeuvre he did not give his opponent another choice but to tap out in the opening round of the fight,” says Pelser.

Next in line was Andrew Benecke. In the final round of the fight his opponent unfortunately got the upper hand and won the bout by means of ground and pound.

The highlight of the night was when Mile High fighter Robbie Streak entered the cage in his first title bout. Pelser explains that Streak entered for the Heavy Weight MFC Title fight and had to face Mbuli Jakarta.

After two tiring rounds of mixed martial arts, Streak defeated Jakarta and became the new MFC Heavy Weight champion.

With one title in the bag, Streak now has his eyes set on taking the World Kickboxing Federation (WKF) Heavy Weight K-1 title in August.
