Kiss My Bass Anglers have enjoyed some excellent fishing for 2014 so far.
They have had successes from both the bank anglers and the boating teams and are looking forward to the rest of the year’s angling.
During January the bank anglers visited Arries Dam in Westonaria and some good catches were recorded.
According to the club president, Jimmy Doyle, their February bank competition coincided with the full moon so it was decided to have a night competition at Arries Dam as well. This was well attended and a few nice fish were caught.
“Our March competition was held at a small private venue in Hekpoort.
“A total of 14 anglers participated and a total of 36 bass were caught, the biggest being 1,66kg, caught by Sean Riley,” says Jimmy.
Boat anglers fared equally well during the January and February competitions, which were held at Klerkskraal Dam and Rust de Winter Dam.
The March competition took place at Boskop Dam on 30 March.
