The Tiger scheduled to fight in Kenya

Nathi 'The Tiger' Ximba is scheduled for yet another international title bout shortly after his great victory in Vienna, Austria.

Shortly after Nathi ‘The Tiger’ Ximba’s great success in Vienna, Austria during October 2013, the current World WKF Mauy-Thai Champion is scheduled for another international title bout during March this year.

According to Nathi’s long time manager and trainer, Mark Hey, Ximba will fight in Nairobi, Kenya on 28 March this year.

“Although it is not yet confirmed, we believe that ‘The Tiger’ will fight for the World WKF Featherweight K-1 Title during his visit to Nairobi,” says Mark.

The fight will take place at the National Indoor Arena in Nairobi.

“Nathi was scheduled to fight in Uganda during 2013 but the fight did not take place.

“During his visit to Kenya he will now clash with the opponent he was supposed to fight in Uganda,” says Mark.

Nathi will touch gloves with Tumukunde ‘AK 47’ John from Uganda.

“Tumukunde is the current Ugandan K-1 and Kickboxing Champion.

According to Nathi, he is really excited about the fight and is currently busy training for this epic battle.

Nathi has also ventured into a new interest – self defense training.

All of Nathi’s training is done at Fitstop Gymnasium in Greenhills, Randfontein where Fitstop Principal, Nic Charilaou, recently introduced a new self defense initiative.

“Coach Mark and myself will oversee the launch and development of this initiative.

“I am really looking forward to the self defense classes as I will be teaching my skills to members of the community as a weapon of self defense,” says Nathi.

His long time coach, Mark, explains that they decided to start these classes due to the alarming crime statistics and attacks on mainly women and children.

“Kids from as young as 6-years old can now be part of these classes and get the opportunity to train with our local international champion,” says Mark.
