The West Rand Touch Rugby League (WRTRL) is set to kick off on 11 September and will continue for the next 10 weeks.
All individual players, school coaches, corporate companies and women’s teams on the West Rand are encouraged to enter their teams into the WRTRL as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
Touch-rugby league matches are played every Wednesday evening from 6.50pm in the Krugersdorp, Rant en Dal area at the Sterkfontein Heritage Lodge.
“Those who attend these events can enjoy a drink at the cash bar, and a variety of delicious foods are also available from the Lodge Restaurant, so bring your family and friends for a night out while having fun in the tough-rugby league,” says organiser, Kobus Kruger.
Whether you are young or old, the touch-rugby league caters for all those interested in cardiovascular, non-contact fun. The standard of play ranges from a social level to very competitive.
Kobus expects at least 24 sides to join in the fun when the league formally kicks off.
