Dear municipality. My name is Albert Oberholzer.

Regarding road damage in Tier Street, Greenhills the following …

One of our members has complained about an issue concerning a service that was not completed by the Rand West City Local Municipality (RWCLM).

Work was started a few months ago in Tier Street, Greenhills. Up to now the issue has not been resolved. Work was done on the road surface – it was dug up and never repaired.

Currently it is filled with stagnant water which seeps into the properties, causing damage to the pavement and walls. It has also started to give off a smell that is unbearable.

After numerous requests, which fell on deaf ears, our member was forced to resort to social media, ie Facebook etc. For this not to continue, please update me on the progress and the possible finalisation of this matter.

The municipality has meanwhile responded saying … ‘We acknowledge receipt and forwarding to relevant departments accordingly. Hoping to resolve your issue as speedily and efficiently as possible’ – Ed.
