My revolutionary greeting to the entire editorial team and the dedicated staff of the newspaper.

Charity begins at home namely Rand West City Local Municipality (RWCLM).

I wish all councillors a successful year most likely to come with a lot of challenges. Hopefully they will address the backlogs of the town irrespective of their political party affiliation, be it ANC, DA, EFF or Randfontein People’s Party.

Outstanding service delivery needs to be addressed urgently and as speedily as possible before the new cream of councillors are selected in August 2021.

As at 19 January 2021, we are left with 176 days before the term of the councillors is scheduled to expire after taking office in 2016. Therefore, I am appealing to them to urgently address outstanding service delivery issues.

I hope that the State of the City address by the current executive mayor will look at that with the assistance of the members of her mayoral committees, including councillors and ward committees.

I wish all candidates who will stand for the forthcoming municipal/ local government elections the very best of luck.

Let all people who show an interest in theses forthcoming elections write articles to the Herald to explore their ideas or come up with solutions.

I have to see the articles flocking to the Herald office within approximately 30 weeks.

Last but not least, I wish the relevant department be it water, sanitation, electricity or infrastructure to address blockages at the following addresses: 1704 Rakale Street in Ward 19; and 6614 Seboni Crescent Ex 4 and 6687 Seboni Crescent Ex 4 in Ward 15.

Thanks until next time.
