Kindly note that the Sungate Run which was scheduled for 29 February 2020 was cancelled due to bad weather and not postponed to Saturday, 14 March as initially reported.
However, Ryno van Vollenhoven of DirtRunners confirmed that on 14 March there is a Sunset Run/ Walk at the Randfontein Golf Club, which is a new event not related to the Sungate Run/ Walk.
“We are so excited to announce that we will be hosting our very first Run/ Walk at Randfontein Golf Club. We will be hosting two different Run/ Walk events.
“The first one is a Sunset Run/ Walk on Saturday, 14 March 2020 at 5pm. The second one this month will be a Night Run/ Walk on Wednesday, 18 March at 7pm. We will be hosting one of each every month.
“The distances will be a 5km and a 10km a double lap. The runners and walkers who finish their distance will each get a medal.”
Anyone who would like to run or just want to cheer on their love ones can enter the Run/ Walk at https://www.entryrush.co.za. Late entries will be accepted on the day.
There will be prizes for the following:
• First and second male and female on the 10km
• First and second male and female on the 5km up to 18 years
