Corporal punishment: The Church vs The State – Chapter 2

As an Elder and Evangelist of Spirit of Christ Ministries, I have a prophetic weapon to fight back with, namely the Word of God.

As the Elder and Evangelist of Spirit of Christ Ministries under the leadership of Apostle Dr AN Mabaso, a medical doctor by profession, I wish to teach, lecture, groom and mentor Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng and the State about the Word of God regarding punishing and disciplining our children, based on the book of law, which is the Holy Bible.

In the book of Joshua, chapter 1 verse 8, God says: “Let this book of law not depart from your mouth, meditate on it day and night”. It is called a manual for success. Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng and the State took a detrimental decision regarding prison terms whenever we punish or discipline our children.

Proverbs 25 verse 8 states: “Do not bring hastily to court, for what will you do in the end if your neighbour puts you to shame?” The equivalent Afrikaans idiom says: ‘n Haastige hond verbrand sy mond.

Hebrews 12 verse 6 says: “The Lord disciplines those whom He loves, and punishes everyone He accepts as a son.”

Exodus 20 verse 4: “I am the Lord your God, a jealous God who punishes the children for the sins of their parents to the third and fourth generation”.

The discipline and punishment that we are administering to our children is the voice of God from Heaven to Earth.

In the book of Revelation, chapter 22 verse 18 God says: “Do not edit, remove or add anything in this book of law or prophesy”.

As an Elder and Evangelist of Spirit of Christ Ministries, I have a prophetic weapon to fight back with, namely the Word of God.

Proverbs 13 verse 24: “Whoever spares the rod hates their children, but the one who loves their children is careful to discipline them.”

Proverbs 15 verse 10: “Harsh discipline is for him who forsakes the way, and he who hates correction will die”.

Proverbs 19 verse 18: “Discipline your children, for in that there is hope, do not be a willing party to their death”.

Proverbs 23 verse 13: “Do not withhold discipline from a child, if you punish them with the rod, they will not die, punish them with the rod and save them from death”.

Proverbs 29 verse 15: “A rod and a reprimand impart wisdom, but a child left undisciplined disagrees with its mother”.

Proverbs 29 verse 17: “Discipline your children, and they will give you peace, they will bring you the delights you desire”.
