This is absurd to say the least

Why am I singled out and the not the neighbouring residents. Seems awfully suspicious to me.

I addressed the complaint below to five different individuals at the Rand West City Local Municipality and to date [have received] no response. This is absurd to say the least.

‘Please advise if it is now no longer an obligation to have a conventional electricity meter.

‘We have a three-phase meter and have been visited by two gentlemen claiming to to be ‘instructed’ to change my meter to a pre-paid meter. At no cost.

‘This was not requested by me. I am not confident or comfortable with the changeover.

‘Firstly, [because] we have a three-phase meter, the costing of the electricity [we use] is not the same [as for people with ordinary power supplies].

‘Secondly, why am I singled out and the not the neighbouring residents. Seems awfully suspicious to me.

‘Lastly, if you look at the feedback in the local media, you will note the complaints about the pre-paid system.

‘Your response is eagerly awaited. Yes, I have copied the Herald as well.

‘Best regards.’
