Mayor wishes matric class of 2018 well

I urge all parents, guardians and community members to be the pillar of support for our matriculants.

We have reached that time of the year when our matriculants will sit for their matric examination.

It has been a long educational journey that has brought you this far and through commitment and discipline you will soon reap the rewards. Always bear in mind that every great story on the planet happened when someone decided not to give up, but kept going, no matter what.

Therefore today I urge you to walk through those doors with your heads held up high, and your willingness not to give up no matter what will bring you one step closer towards the accomplishment of your dreams. Success is connected with action. You are already a success in our eyes, but more importantly, you are destined to be more than you can even imagine.

Your time, your moment, and your opportunity has come to lay the foundation for that future you had been working very hard on. Going forward, opportunities will be endless and only your dreams for a better future will place you at the doorsteps of academic and visionary excellence.

I urge all parents, guardians and community members to be the pillar of support for our matriculants and give them the necessary structure to prepare for these momentous exams.

The Rand West City Local Municipality (RWCLM) fully supports you.

Good luck.
