Enough is enough at our school – learners

How are we supposed to produce good marks? We don't even have enough chairs or tables!

Enough is enough!

The students at a school in Badirile, Randfontein, are not treated like other schools just because they’re based on the farms.

People are fooled by the front of the school – as you get inside, you will find many mobile classrooms without windows, placed very close to each other. Learners are preoccupied inside those mobile classes, but apparently some of the teachers have experienced injuries just from entering these mobile classes. It’s sad to see other schools with proper infrastructure which our school doesn’t have.

Other schools are being recognised but we are not. How are we supposed to produce good marks? We don’t even have enough chairs or tables!

We have to share and sometimes we have to sit on the ground, and now it’s winter these mobile classes are freezing cold. Today, we went to school but our own principal chased us away. He is a sellout. It’s time we got a woman principal. Ever since the school was opened, we’ve had male principals, but perhaps a female principal will bring about changes at our school and we will be able to produce a 100 per cent pass rate.

Enough is enough – we are tired of being ill-treated like a bunch of baboons.
