Settlers under bridge – still nothing being done
The majority of the Homelake community has signed a petition. Subsequently, it was handed to the councillor to have these people removed and taken to a safe and healthy environment.
Regarding the article Mayor celebrates his birthday under a bridge, please note that councillor Ellik de Lange took the mayor there several months ago.
The majority of the Homelake community has signed a petition, which I personally took to the residents. Subsequently, it was handed to the councillor to have these people removed and taken to a safe and healthy environment. The stench from this area is unbearable for the residents of Homelake.
Despite councillor De Lange showing the mayor the conditions under the bridge several months ago, nothing has been done about this problem. Councillor De Lange will confirm the long struggle he has had to better the situation, to no avail.
