No to legalisation of dagga

We will not keep silent any longer but will speak up for the future of South Africa.

In reply to the letter, ‘Education experts alarmed by dagga threat’, the following:

Thank you for speaking up for young ones who do not yet make reasonable decisions for themselves.

It is a fact that teachers bemoan the state of pupils coming in after break, having smoked dagga, because there is no hope of teaching them when they are ‘high’.

The head of Life Orientation at a rural high school said to me that they do not know what to do with the pupils – dagga-use is running out of control. We want to strengthen teachers’ arms and communities, as these are our children, growing up in our country.

No to legalisation of the plant that has caused so much damage already. Young people addicted to hard drugs unashamedly say that dagga was the gateway drug, tried out already in their pre-teen years. We will not keep silent any longer but will speak up for the future of South Africa.
