CORRECTION – Not a very festive time for pets
SPCA urges the public not to give pets to friends and family as presents ...
In the article on page 2 of the Herald dated 15 January 2016 with the headline ‘Not a very festive time for pets’, there is an incorrect sentence at the start of paragraph 5 reading: ‘Muller urges the public to give pets to friends and family as presents to prevent animals from being dropped off at the SPCA.’
The sentence should in fact read as follows: Muller urges the public not to give pets to friends and family as presents to prevent animals from being dropped off at the SPCA
The Herald wishes to apologise to the SPCA for publishing the incorrect statement.
