Non-performing municipal workers’ heads must roll

As a resident of Randfontein I am fed up with how our complaints are handled by the Randfontein Local Municipality.

One reports the issue of an open manhole for an entire week and nothing ever gets done. This cannot be right. To deal with this, I suggest that those who are employed by the municipality to deal with people’s complaints in the different departments should be dealt with once and for all. Only their seniors can do this.

I think that when calling in, we need to start asking for their names and make sure that heads roll whenever we don’t find joy with our complaints.

For instance, if someone does not attend to a resident’s complaint within a certain time frame, these people should be reported to their superiors and dealt with.
