The traffic lights on the R28 towards Westonaria just next to the Bekkersdal intersection have not been working for some time now and the Westonaria Local Municipality needs to do something about it already.
This needs to happen before somebody gets into a tragic accident and injures themselves or even worse, before someone loses their life.
Every time one queries them, municipal workers are quick to tell you that they were damaged during the violent protest actions in Bekkersdal.
However, that was some time ago and I feel that these traffic lights should have been fixed by now.
I just wish this municipality would stop risking people’s lives and actually do something constructive for a change.
