It is really sad to see how one of Randfontein’s most iconic landmarks goes to waste.
As a child my family and I used to spend every weekend at the Riebeeck Lake. We had the most fun ever at this – what use to be – stunning park.
But that is now all part of a great history.
The Riebeeck Lake is now nothing more than an sore eye for everyone in Randfontein.
I wish someone would take up the responsibility to restore this place to its former glory. Then we as residents can go for a walk around the dam, play with our children on the grass or even enjoy a day fishing.
