School spirit, something to boast about

To see so many pupils coming out on a Saturday to support their school is truly remarkable.

I drove past the Greenhills sports stadium on 15 February and to my amazement the pavilion was packed with school pupils singing and cheering for their school’s athletes who was busy with a huge sporting event at the stadium.

This was a great sight for me as it was the first time in a long time that I saw a school using this facility to host an athletics competition.

I stopped at the entrance to the stadium and found out that it is Randfontein High School who was hosting their annual Inter High Athletics competition and once again, I was proud to be part of Randfontein.

To see so many pupils coming out on a Saturday to support their school is truly remarkable.

Not only was it great to see the amount of pupils involved in this event, but Randfontein High School also did a great deal of work to shape the grounds up and get it ready for such an event.

I salute you Randfontein High School.

You are great.
