Madiba rest in peace

This is one of the leaders who has suffered for our freedom at the Robben Island Prison and we bare the fruits of his work today.

• Cope West Rand Regional Organizer Nicodemus Phake writes:

Congress of the people (COPE) wishes to express its sincere condolences and sympathy to the bereaved family and relatives of the late comrade and former president Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela.

This is one of the leaders who has suffered for our freedom at the Robben Island Prison and we bare the fruits of his work today.

This is the very same man that I visisted at the Medi-Clinic hospital in Pretoria during his illness this year and I must admit, even in his sick bed, the man still had a fighting spirit.

Matthew chapter 5 verse 4 states that, “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.”

May the angels lead Mandela into paradise and may the martyrs come to welcome him and take him to the holy land; the new and eternal Jerusalem.

May the choir of angels welcome him where Lazarus is poor and no more.

May he have eternal rest.

Give rest, O Christ to Your servant with Your saints where sorrow and pain are no more.
