New leaders at Westgold announced

Meet your new Westgold Primary head learners for the 2024 academic year.

Laerskool Westgold Primary School has officially announced its representative council of learners (RCL) for the 2024 academic year.

Kaylan Lebaka is this year’s head boy and when asked what superpower he would want to have, he said the ability to create material things with his mind. He would also want to use this superpower to create food for the underprivileged people.

Boledi Maebela was selected as head girl, and said, “My goal is to push myself and to keep the Lord with me through every journey and path I take.”

The deputy head boy is none other than Nkosi’sbuse Mdluli and when asked what occupation he wants to pursue one day, he answered, “I want to become a social worker because I enjoy working with people.”

Lesedi Setlogelo is this year’s deputy head girl, saying, “If I were principal, I would let Grade Sevens go to school until 15:00 so that they can finish the heavy workload.”

School spokesperson Mariska du Plessis said Westgold Primary is extremely proud of this enthusiastic bunch of RCL learners.

“The school strives to stand by its motto: ‘Together we can make a difference’. Westgold wants to congratulate our 2024 head leaders. We wish them all the best for the year and best of luck with all the challenges they might face,” Mariska said.
