Authors and mathematicians among Gr 1s at FJL Wells Primary

The Herald spoke to some Gr 1s at FJL Wells Primary Mine School about their first day and want they want to be in the future.

Excitement was in the air last week as FJL Wells Primary Mine School welcomed their new bunch of Grade Ones for the new academic year.

Iminathi Phaidi was very excited to start school and told the Randfontein Herald he wanted to pass with flying colours. He further enjoys writing and cannot wait to finish school one day. His biggest challenge, however, is Mathematics in Afrikaans. To add, his favourite snack is Doritos and food none other than a pizza. He also believes that he is the strongest Grade One in school.

Diana Malahlela is extremely focused on her work and her favourite subject is Mathematics.

Lwandle Mthembu likes to read and colour in.

Lwandle Mthembu is also excited to learn and enjoys colouring in and reading adventurous stories. He thinks his biggest challenge in Grade One will be to count to 100.

Munashe Maamogwa enjoys her first recess as a Grade One learner.

Munashe Maamogwa said she is now a big girl in a big school and can cook all by herself. She wants to better her skill in writing and wants to become a world-famous author one day.
