Westgold welcomes their Gr 1 Superstars!

Westgold Primary School's principal has welcomed all learners and wants to make 2024 the year to remember.

Westgold Primary School principal Christo Hugo has officially welcomed the learners for the 2024 academic year.

Firstly, the principal had a few special words for the Grade Ones of course.

“To our new Grade One learners, a special welcome to you for the start of your educational journey! We are thrilled to have you as part of our school family. Get ready for a year full of discovery, laughter, and new friendships. Your teachers and classmates are here to support you every step of the way,” Christo stated.

He then welcomed the returning grades 2–7 learners by saying how much the school had missed each one of them.

“Myself along with fellow staff are very excited to dive into another year where we will grow and learn together. This year is a blank canvas and we’re excited to create new memories, overcome challenges, and celebrate your achievements,” he added.

Christo then proceeded by talking about the plan for this year.

He said that Westgold will be making it a priority to be inclusive and to support one another by building friendships and assuring teamwork. The school will further strive to inspire learners to embrace new challenges and celebrate success.

“Parents and guardians, thank you for entrusting us with the privilege of educating your children. We’re committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment for their growth and development. Here’s to a fantastic 2024 school year filled with curiosity, laughter, and countless moments of discovery. Let’s make it a year to remember! Welcome back, superstars!” Christo said.
