RCA prize-giving to honour learners
The Randfontein Christian Academy hosts a flashy awards evening.
Randfontein Christian Academy (RCA) held its prestigious prize-giving ceremony for grade RRR to grade 3 learners recently.
The extravagant evening began with a heartwarming welcome from principal Dr Chris Ayres. Thereafter, Pastor John Pheasant opened with a speech and spoke about the importance of keeping the youth educated. This is followed by the handing over of certificates for learners. Furthermore, the grade R classes received a graduation ceremony to properly welcome them as the upcoming grade ones for 2024. In addition, Dr Chris also handed over the special award medals for every grade.
Some learners also obtained floating trophies with titles such as the highest average in the grade, displaying Christian growth, the highest average in Mathematics, the highest average in English, the highest average in Afrikaans, Robotics Learner of the Year, Most Improved Learner of the Year, Dancer of the Year and a principles award.
The staff members also received awards for their devotion and work ethic throughout the year.
To conclude, Nandie Swart gave a special word of thanks to the organisers and attendees. Sheona Mohammed then said a closing prayer.
