Jannas takes the prize as the most improved team

The Gauteng West District Awards praised Hoërskool Jan Viljoen for their commendable achievements.

Hoërskool Jan Viljoen was invited to the Gauteng West District Awards where they walked away with multiple awards.

Jan Viljoen was congratulated for their considerable achievements. Two learners in particular left a prominent imprint at the awards. George Nicolakakis and Lané Odendaal earned spectacular provincial recognition and secured second place in the district for their exceptional argumentation and essay writing in the Moot Court Division.

George and Lané competed in the district round where Jan Viljoen took third place and accordingly, both learners moved on to compete in the provincial round and finished in 15th place provincially. The learners and contributors received a special award for being the most improved team and thus were rewarded second overall at the district awards.

In addition, Charl Ludick, spokesperson and educator at Jan Viljoen received acknowledgment as a commendable staff member who coached George and Lané to success. Charl received recognition as well as an award for the most improved coach in the district in the moot court division.
