The clock is ticking for parents and guardians with grade one and eight learners as the 2024 online application period opens next week Thursday.

This is according to the Gauteng Department of Education MEC Matome Chiloane who has since assured parents that their portal has improved.
The system was established to make the application process easier and limit the number of walk-ins.
According to Chiloane, it will be all systems go come 08:00 on June 15. Applications will close on July 14 at midnight.
“Parents can rest assured knowing that their children will be placed.
We are working around the clock, and we won’t wait for January to try to find space for the learners.
“What I can say is that there has been a significant improvement in the system, and it is the best we have currently,” said Chiloane who is confident in the system.
