The farm comes to Golden Kids Pre-Primary

A mobile animal farm visited the learners to end off the school term and to learn about the various animals.

What sounds do ducks, goats and cows make? This is only one of the things that the learners of Golden Kids Pre-Primary learned during a mobile animal farm visit to the school on Friday, September 30.

During the fun-filled morning the ecstatic children learnt about farm animals and everything they have to offer us. There were bunnies, guinea pigs, ducks, chickens, a goat, sheep and a cow for the learners to learn more about.

They had the opportunity to pet the animals and feed them, and there were smiles all around while they learned more about what they eat, what they are called and what we can get from them like eggs and wool.

School spokesperson Winnie van Tonder said they ended the school term with a visit by the farm animals as the learners usually enjoy the animals and they can learn something too.

“Overall they were extremely excited about the day and we will definitely do something like this again as soon as they are comfortable with the animals because they do a wild animal programme as well,” said Van Tonder.
