‘Our community service hero’

After striving to help those who need it, Georgina Mapule Mphatswe earned first place in the Community Service category.

Georgina Mapule Mphatswe recently attended the 2024 South African Heroes Awards and won first place in the Community Service category.

The South African Heroes Awards was hosted at the Market Theatre in Johannesburg.

“I believe the community recognised my hard work and charitable efforts. Thank you for voting for me,” she gladly expressed.

She further emphasised how honoured she felt to stand on stage and receive the trophy.

“Words cannot express how I feel. I would like to deeply thank every person who voted for me. I am riding on top of the crest of the wave. I am so happy and I feel so privileged and more empowered to up the game of community service.”

She added she loves people and she enjoys being surrounded by disadvantaged people.

“I hate to see communities suffering in the despair of poverty.”

Even though Georgina has achieved her goal at the South African Heroes Awards, her plans to help the disadvantaged will not stop there. She also plans to cook food for the needy, give clothes to the less fortunate and buy groceries for shelters. She also plans to collect sanitary products which will be given to the disadvantaged.

She is the founder of the Mapule Mphatswe Foundation which ensures to help underprivileged communities.
