Mapule Ratsoeu recently hosted a Heritage Day Indigenous Games Programme, during which residents celebrated their proud culture and traditions.
About 60 children gathered and according to Mapule, the event aimed to empower underprivileged children.
She added the event was successful since the children enjoyed dancing and playing indigenous games.
“Heritage Day reminds us of our culture and our history. It reminds us to respect each other,” she expressed.
Mapule is also the founder of Leano la Modimo. The organisation was established primarily to help the youth with social and environmental struggles. Besides spreading awareness about substance abuse and bullying, they also help underprivileged children with certain necessities such as toiletries.
