Feeding the Toekies community on Heritage Day
Heritage Day was celebrated somewhat differently in parts of Toekomsrus as a soup kitchen spent the day feeding the community.
Feed the Need Soup Kitchen reached out to the community on Heritage Day by providing residents with a meal.
Founder of the soup kitchen, Koekie Allied, said they spent the day feeding the community and thanked politicians for their sponsorship.
On Friday, September 27, the soup kitchen also fed the children in the community.
