Cast Aways urgently needs the community’s help with newest intake

Mixed breed dog found in Greenhills believed to have puppies.

Cast Aways Animal Sanctuary has had another intake and they believe she has a few more additions to her family.

Louisa Rossouw, founder of the sanctuary explained they found the mixed breed female in front of Tony’s Meat Market in Greenhills on September 8. Aside from hunger and neglect, she did not need to have medical treatment, she did however need grooming as she was covered in motor oil.

They believe she has puppies somewhere as her teats are still full of milk. They now take her on regular walks to see if she leads them to her young ones.

She also needs to be sterilised, dewormed and vaccinated. They then also have to do parasite control. She also still needs a kennel.

“We are still struggling with donations for mostly dog food and help with our vet bills. This will be the last fur baby we will be able to take in,” Louisa noted.
