The Myburgh Foundation is hosting its Summer Youth Camp in Cape Town after the community raised funds.
The camp will start on September 21 and end on September 29.
Operations manager Randy Christian stated the youth of the community raised funds to partake in the mentorship, bible studies and team-building activities during the camp.
“This is solely to keep our youth busy with positive activities during the school holidays seeing as there is a shortage of recreational facilities within our community,” Randy expressed.
He added some of the participants are top achievers in school and he believes their positivity will rub off on the other participants. He stated they would be rewarding good behaviour and encouraging the youth to strive for the best.
“We would like to thank the community members who contributed towards making this camp possible,” Randy concluded.
