The Dan Tloome CPF is asking the community to take hands with them in keeping the area safe.

Dan Tloome CPF held an awareness campaign on the last day of August to educate the community about safety and security.

According to the chairperson of the CPF, Magauta Liz Mosethlatsela, their executive and youth desk organised the event at the Dan Tloome community hall. Magauta said more than 100 residents were in attendance.

“The guest speakers addressed the young women and encouraged them to live the life they still have ahead of them.”

Magauta added a pastor also prayed where after the community was educated about CPF procedures.

Thereafter, about 120 packs of toiletries were given to young girls and every individual enjoyed a meal that was provided by the CPF.

“Our community is diverse and it has a lot of people from different areas such as plots, squatter camps, hostels and informal settlements. Therefore, most of us here are illiterate and as a result, do not understand what the CPF is. So, it was very important to educate the community about it and ask for support,” she said.

She went on to thank the community for trusting her to lead them in terms of safety and security.

“Thank you for trusting me so much that you dedicated your time to volunteer for CPF. Thank you for your support. Your donations are highly appreciated and used wisely and this event was proof of that,” she expressed.

If anyone can assist the Dan Tloome CPF with donations, kindly contact Magauta on 084 077 3109.
