Ambulance and vehicle crash at infamous intersection

Yet another collision occurred at the intersection of Homestead Avenue and Kenneth Road, this time involving an ambulance and light motor vehicle.

The infamous intersection of Homestead Avenue and Kenneth Road has yet again seen another collision between a light motor vehicle and ambulance in the early hours of this morning, August 27.

The Randfontein Herald arrived on the scene promptly after the crash took place.

One of the emergency services members who were in the vehicle during the collision stated they were on their way to an emergency when the crash occurred.

The emergency services vehicle had a broken rim.

The driver of the vehicle, André Fourie, said that the light was green when he decided to drive over the intersection on Kenneth Road. He further mentioned that the ambulance was driving on Homestead Avenue when their vehicles collided.

First Help arrived on the scene a few minutes after the crash occurred. The ambulance soon drove away. No injuries were reported during the aftermath of the scene.
