The Kgantsha Lesedi Youth Foundation in partnership with Lahlamlenze Records will be hosting the KGABA KA SETSO Cultural Festival to celebrate Heritage Day (September 24).
According to the founder of the foundation, Bokang Tsie, this will be their second annual celebration to be held in Dan Tloome on September 28.
“The event was organised to create a platform for different creative talents in the West Rand which helps them showcase their gifts. Keeping in mind the statistics of social cohesion in South Africa is declining daily, we decided that around this time of the year, we’ll put together people from different cultures in one canopy to celebrate humanity,” Bokang said.
This event will incorporate cultural and modern music and dance.
Bokang further stated the community is the anchor and soul of events of this calibre. Therefore, the foundation is inviting the community to join them during the celebration.
“I would like the community to organise their best traditional attire, bring their camp chairs since it is an outdoor event and prepare to indulge themselves in various South African cuisines,” Bokang expressed.
