Doctor riding tractor for charity makes pit stop in Randfontein

Dr André Hattingh made a pitstop in Randfontein before finishing his 3 500km trip to raise funds for children.

Founder and CEO of Pediatric Care Africa, Dr André Hattingh has been riding a tractor across South Africa making a pit stop at Mahindra Agri Randfontein to raise funds for children’s operations.

André started his 3 500km journey on a tractor on July 21, driving from Nelspruit to Burgersdorp. Since then he has been travelling throughout the country. He will be completing his trip on August 11, making his way back to Nelspruit. The goal of this road trip was to raise funds for Pediatric Care Africa’s children. He also aimed to break a world record on the Mahindra tractor.

“I will be finishing the trip all on my own without having any assistance during the 3 500km,” André said.

The Westgold learners Bokang Setlogelo, Boledi Maebela, Nkosi Mdluli and Kaylan Lebaka.

The learners were mesmerised by the tractor and hurried to ask André a few questions. André happily introduced Betsy and Olaf, two teddy bears accompanying him on his tractor.
