Help Benji come back home

Animal Aid Warriors wants to return Benji to his owner and appeals to the community to be on the lookout.

Benji the dog was last seen on June 23 and Animal Aid Warriors are desperately looking for him, asking the community to be on the lookout as well.

Benji is a male Yorkie with distinctive brown colours. He stands about almost 20cm tall.

The organisation’s director, Naomi de Beer, stated that Benji has a white patch on his chest and chin.

He has copper-coloured hair around his brown nose. Benji was last seen near the old strawberry farm on Main Road, Middelvlei. At about 14:00, Benji was still inside the owner’s yard. De Beer has also confirmed that Benji will turn five months old in July.

“The gate to the premises can easily be opened and one can just walk in. The owner suspects someone opened the gate and because Benji is so friendly, he went to the person and they stole him,” De Beer said.

According to De Beer, Benji is an extremely friendly dog, so it is safe to approach Benji with his favourite snack – dog biscuits. If Benji has been spotted, kindly contact Animal Aid Warriors on 079 834 3957.
