Many musical talents showcase their skills at local pub

Local artists book themselves for Party at the Hill hoping to show their skills to the community.

Local artists came together at Party at the Hill, hosted at Entabeni Pub, to showcase their talents in the hopes of making a name for themselves.

Sbusiso Mabena, marketing director for the event and one of the performers explained it is difficult for an artist to get bookings if they are not well-known. They then came up with the idea to hold their own event to get their name out there and showcase their talents.

He added they had difficulty with the venue they had originally booked and ended up moving the event to another local hangout spot rather than cancelling it.

“The support was great. This was our fourth event this year. We’ve been doing better, especially at the most recent event. I’m certain that the next event will be even bigger and better. who knows? We might fill up a stadium.”

The artists that performed included #47, Amari, Vowtex (Ten Tereza), Ego masweed, K-raps, King Mosotho, MC Menace and Mussiah SA.

Lester Hogins, stage name MC Menace, and Kathlegho Lechp, stage name Black Eagle.
