Animal Aid Warriors is hosting a Funny Dog Photo Contest for community members with funky pets.
Do you have the funniest dog in Randfontein? Then you are the perfect candidate for the Funny Dog Photo Contest.
Animal Aid Warriors aims to bring smiles to the community as they initiate the Funny Dog Photo Contest.
This comes from the director of Animal Aid Warriors, Elzana Kritzinger who added that the top five dogs with the most likes will compete in the final round. Elzana stated that the candidate who takes number one will be chosen by a panel of selected judges. The winner will be announced on April 1 and will receive a cash prize of R4 000.
Elzana stated that the winner must be able to collect the prize on April 13 at the Kameelstreet Animal Hospital in Randfontein.
If your pet is a jester, you can enter the competition for free. To enter, WhatsApp a photo of your dog to 079 834 3957. Prizes include R1 000 in cash, a free vet exam along with a microchip, a grooming session, and a mystery box.
Elzana gave thanks to Kameelstreet Animal Hospital, Faith Custom Design and Print, Divine Pootches Mobile Pet Grooming, Werner de Beer (Grizz the Singing Trucker) and 4Keeps Internet Radio for sponsoring the opportunity.
Animal Aid Warriors is an animal rescue centre founded by Naomi de Beer, Elzana and Zweli Dzimba.
“There are many non-profit organisations who assist families with food and clothing, however, not many animal-related centres to assist lower income or unemployed members of the public with sterilisation, vaccination, deworming, and microchipping of their pets,” Elzana said.
According to Elzana, the organisation raises funds via social media for households without an income.
