Wings to build miniature golf course: You can help too

Wings Of Inspiration Elderly Care Centre asks the community's help to complete their putt putt course.

Wings Of Inspiration Elderly Care Centre is building a miniature golf course but they need the community’s help to complete it.

According to Anthea da Costa, one of the founders, all proceeds from the course would go to their care centre. It will offer a fun activity for community members as well as the elderly in their care and give them a chance to keep fit. However, they still need the community’s help to sponsor some of the holes.

“We feel the need to build a landmark for the fun and enjoyment of the public, business, and our elderly residents. What better way to have visitors spending time with some of our gems with so much history to share?”

She added at the end of 2023, they had a fundraiser called Finally Par-Tee Time, which forms part of their putt putt Palooza fundraiser. She said the Palooza involved asking community members to sponsor the different holes on the course. This money will then be used to build the course.

They aim to start building towards the end of March. To complete the course, a total of R45 000 is needed. At the time of print, they still needed R15 350.

“Every donation no matter how big or small is greatly appreciated. Let’s put our elderly care centre on the map for a ‘hole in one’ venue,” said Anthea.

Any person who wants to donate can contact Anthea on 071 829 1293.

“It’s the moments that count and the memories that last and we have so many great ones with our proud supporters who we appreciate as an organisation. We are grateful for the difference we make together,” concluded Anthea.
